Specializing in long term critical care, our medically complex patient management program is designed by our physician specialists to treat the patient with multiple medical diagnoses. These patients require intensive nursing care along with a combination of nutritional support, medication management, wound care, dialysis, special procedures and rehabilitative therapies in an integrated team approach that maximizes healing. The program provides acute care hospitalization for an extended period of time allowing each patient to build strength and stamina that improves overall health.Our Medically Complex Care program is individually fitted to the unique needs and goals of each patient. Examples of the diseases and /or treatment needs we manage inlcude:Multi-system organ failure, Cerebrovascular disease, Cardiac related disorders, Neuromuscular care, Chest trauma, MRSA/VRE and other infections, Post-op complicationsOur Complex Wound Care team provides individual treatment of a variety of wounds including:Complications from diabetes, Vascular diseases or infections, Post-surgical wound management, Post-operative flap and skin graft care, Stage III or IV wounds, Stoma Care.The Respiratory Therapy program includes the latest care in tracheostomy, decannulation, ventilator weaning and management as well as general respiratory care. Some of the respiratory disorders we treat include:Cardiac Heart Failure, Chest Trauma, COPD, Interstitial Pulmonary Fibrosis, Kyphoscoliosis, Multiple System Organ Failure, Neuromuscular Disease, Pneumonia/ARDS, Pre/Post Operative Lung Surgery, Respiratory Failure, SarcoidosisTracheostomy and Respiratory Needs.Our Ventilator Weaning Program gives hope to those who are dependent on ventilators to take their next breath. Led by board certified pulmonologists our dedicated team of registered nurses, respiratory therapists, nutritionists, physical, occupational and speech therapists help rebuild a patients strength and stamina. Our program is designed to help our patients breathe independently and has led to many positive results in reducing and, in many cases, discontinuing a patients' dependence on mechanical ventilators.Patients come to our ventilator weaning program when:They have already experienced a long stay in intensive care and/or prior weaning attempts have been unsuccessful.Other Services Include:Antibiotic Therapy, BiPap and C-Pap Care, Central Line management, Pain Management, Patient and Family Training and Education, Pharmacological Management, Telemetry, Total Parenteral Nutrition, Tracheostomy, Tracheostomy Care Critical Care experience preferred . ER, Med Surg, Telemetry experience acceptable. Must be licensed in good standing in the State of Georgia as a Registered Professional Nurse. Current BLS.
