Position Overview

We have a position available for an experienced Mammography Tech to join our team! This is a PRN position working 1-2 shifts per week, or as needed.

Responsibilities


  • Operates X-ray equipment and performs various mammography related procedures


  • Develops and evaluates the film for technical quality such as density contrast, definition, and distortion


  • Explains procedures and educates women about the role of regular mammography in preventive breast health


  • Preparing and maintaining records and other files


  • Cleaning and adjusting equipment as needed


  • Performs radiology services “on call” as needed


  • Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
  • American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT) certification in Mammography (M) required
  • Current Texas Department of State Health Services Certified Medical Radiological Technologist License required within 90 days of hire
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in an acute care hospital
  • Demonstrated knowledge of technical, diagnostic, and emergency procedures related to Imaging/Radiology
  • American Heart Associated approved Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon hire
  • Ability to be on-call during weekdays and weekends required
