IP Rehab Staff RN
JOB TITLE: Staff RN
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
Coordinates nursing care and patient/family education for Adult acute inpatient rehabilitation patients through the use of the nursing process; maintains positive working relationships with staff and other departments to provide optimal quality outcomes within the framework of professional nursing practice. These responsibilities are met according to hospital policy, hospital mission statement and the philosophy of the Department of Nursing. The Staff RN will perform duties in a customer friendly and safe manner. The RN should be familiar with body mechanics/transfer. Demonstrates knowledge base and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the condition and age of the patients served. The nurse must demonstrate familiarity with the principles of growth and development throughout the life cycle. The nurse must be able to assimilate basic knowledge and patient related data to perform a comprehensive and age appropriate assessment.
Operationally, the Staff RN reports to the Department Nurse Manager and the House Supervisor, and administratively to the Chief Nursing Officer and Program Director.
REQUIREMENTS: 1.) Must be a graduate of an accredited School of Nursing 2.) Possess current licensure to practice nursing in Texas 3.) Must be certified in BCLS
RECOMMENDED: 1.) Specialty Certification 2.) ACLS Certification
