Job Description

DIRECTOR NURSING SERVICES

The facility

is a 126-Bed post-acute center located in beautiful Northern California just south of Chico.

has a solid clinical team that is an integral part of our short term and long term residents interdisciplinary process.

maintains two nurse practitioners and one physician assistant located at the center seven days a week. In addition to our nursing staff, they have Clinical Care Managers and Nurse Liaisons to ensure that the residents are receiving the care they need. The center has a very active rehabilitation team of physical, occupational, and speech therapists, with state of the art therapy equipment available. They do provide medically complex services like Intravenous Therapy, Extensive Wound Care, and Tracheotomy Care. The center runs a very high mix of Medicare, Managed Care, Managed Medicaid, and Private Insurances.

We are looking for an individual that has very strong clinical and administrative skills to manage a center that does approximately 60 to 70 admissions and discharges per month. This candidate must have good communication skills and the integrity to lead a very large clinical team. This facility is truly the equivalent of a Medical/Surgical Unit with the many complexities that this clinical team cares for.

Qualifications Looking For: Education: Bachelors degree in healthcare administration, business administration, finance, or clinical specialty. Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may substitute for education requirements. Licenses/Certification: Registered Nurse in the state of California or the ability to obtain a California license Current First Aid/CPR Certification

Experience: Minimum of three years experience in post-acute management. Knowledge and experience in an inpatient, acute care environment is a plus but not necessary Knowledge of Federal and State Regulations Proficient in the use of personal computer including Microsoft Office Must be able to travel to conferences and corporate meetings, including overnight stays. Must be capable of maintaining regular attendance Must have ability to complete multiple projects. Capable of working with minimal supervision. Must be able to maintain confidentiality regarding resident health records and company proprietary information. Must have the ability to relate professionally, positively, and work cooperatively with residents, families, and staff members. Competitive salary and excellent benefits.

We are looking around $130,000 plus benefits. We are a hospital associated post-acute care facility. 126 licensed skilled nursing beds and very busy, high acuity. Lot of great support from the hospital.
