Registered Nurse RN
Renders professional nursing care in accordance with physician's treatment plans and standards of evidence based practice/care.
Assesses patient's condition, plans patient care, administers prescribed drugs, provides treatments, provides appropriate patient education, and evaluates patient's progress, records pertinent observations and report responses to drugs and treatments.
Assists with examinations and prepares instruments and equipment.
Advocates for patient in order to achieve the best possible outcome
Normal hours of operation for out-patient clinics are 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday excluding federal holidays and some command-directed training holidays
Shift lengths for CP assigned to:
1. Out-patient clinics are 8 hours in duration with an unpaid lunch break of approximately one hour in duration
2. In-patient clinics may vary by work area and can consist of 8, 10, and 12- hour shifts that will be combined so as to not to exceed 80-hours of work per 2-week period
Certification must be endorsed through the American Heart Association for Healthcare Providers.
Possess a diploma or certificate of training from a Nursing Assistant school or program of instruction.
Must be certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
Current unrestricted license from to practice as a licensed registered nurse
Possess/maintain a current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certificate
A minimum of one-year of full-time experiencing providing services as an independently licensed registered nurse in an in-patient environment.
Possess experience with various clinical automation systems
Able to operate a personal computer utilizing Microsoft applications, such as Internet Explorer, Outlook, Word, Excel, etc., so as to efficiently create and/or utilize an Electronic Medical Record
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Must not have been convicted of a felony
Must be able to pass National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) and Criminal History Background Check
Be able to read, write, and speak English well enough and enunciate with sufficient clarity to effectively communicate with patients and other health care providers
Possess sufficient initiative, interpersonal relationship skills and social sensitivity such that the RN can relate to a variety of patients from diverse backgroundsCompany Description
