Clinical Documentation Specialist (RN)
The Clinical Documentation Improvement Registered Nurse position is located in Indianapolis, Indiana.
The Clinical Documentation Improvement Registered Nurse facilitates modifications to clinical documentation through concurrent review of medical record documentation and interaction with physicians and other members of the health team to support that appropriate clinical severity is captured for the level of service rendered to all inpatients.
Five to ten years of advanced clinical experience in an acute inpatient setting, with extensive knowledge of complex disease processes. Critical Care experience a plus. CCDS a plus.
Prefer Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing; must be graduate of Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing or Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education accredited nursing program.
Licensed as a Registered Nurse by the Indiana Professional Licensing Agency required.
This is a part-time (40 hours/2 week pay period), non-benefited position. The successful candidate will job share with another Clinical Documentation Specialist, who will serve as a mentor and preceptor for the candidate.
