The Clinical Psychologist evaluates mental and/or emotional problems of patients relative to eating disorders. The Clinical Psychologist also plans, develops and implements treatment programs, and performs the following tasks:

- Evaluates patients' mental and/or emotional problems through interviews, testing, observation, and review of patients' charts.

- Makes recommendations to Medical Director regarding use of drugs to control certain types of behavior in patients.

- Plans and conducts continuing care groups for former patients; refer patients to other professionals and community agencies to fulfill continuing care needs.

- Shares on-call, intervention, inquiry calls, and crisis intervention responsibilities with other members of interdisciplinary team.

- Conducts educational programs for patients, families, other special groups, and general public as assigned.

The ideal Clinical Psychologist candidate is someone who is experienced with eating disorders and adept at communicating and establishing relationships with professional groups, community help services and agencies, community self-help groups, medical staff, patients and patient family members.
