SUMMARY

The Cardiothoracic Specialty Unit (4400) at Rochester General Hospital is a 26 bed unit caring for patients who are post open heart patients from the CTICU, as well as post thoracic surgical patients.  Features:
  • Unit can be a bridge for Nurses who want to progress into an ICU. 
  • Comprehensive training/orientation, and on-going support.

STATUS:              Full Time / 36 Hours Per Week

LOCATION:          Rochester General Hospital

DEPARTMENT:   Cardiothoracic Specialty Unit - 4400

SCHEDULE:          Day/Evening/Night, Every Other Weekend/Holiday

ATTRIBUTES
  • Diploma or Associate’s Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
  • Registered Nurse license in New York State.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • 1+ years of RN experience preferred.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Patient Satisfaction. Solicit and respond to patient feedback to improve service and processes that will enhance the patient experience
  • Medication Administration & Reporting. Administer medication and give/receive relevant reports, both written and verbal
  • Documentation. Ensure concise, pertinent and complete patient care documentation using computerized medical record process
