As a Registered Nurse (RN), you’re the engine and the heart of patient care at Rochester Regional Health. Our Medical Specialty Units (4800 & 5800) at Rochester General Hospital are 37 bed Units that provide care for high acuity adult patients with a broad spectrum of medical diagnosis.   RNs on these Units work collaboratively within a Team-Based Care Model to provide innovative, high quality care, and have access to a dedicated Physician Group.   RNs will utilize broad clinical skills to include pain control, wound care, ostomies, chest tubes, and telemetry, and patient assignments may include pneumonia, diabetes, cardiac, stroke, and psych.  Current census is 1:5 Nurse Patient Ratio, with a goal of moving towards 1:4.

SCHEDULE:          Day/Evening/Night, Every Other Weekend/Holiday

  • Patient Satisfaction. Solicit and respond to patient feedback to improve service and processes that will enhance the patient experience
  • Medication Administration & Reporting. Administer medication and give/receive relevant reports, both written and verbal
  • Documentation. Ensure concise, pertinent and complete patient care documentation using computerized medical record process

  • Up to $5,000 Sign On Bonus based on years of experience.
