The Clinical Educator I candidate will be recognized for clinical expertise in working with a defined group of patients, performs clinical activities including patient care, teaching, consultation, research and maintaining public relations within the institution and community. The Clinical Educator will provide specialized care and education in area of specialty for a defined group of patients; thoroughly assesses the patient's condition and identifies specialized nursing needs; actively participates in the development of and/or updating of nursing care plans for patients in area of expertise based on assessment and nursing diagnosis. In addition, the Clinical Educator I will develop, coordinate, provide, and evaluation educational programs to promote staff and communication education; Develops and implements effective interdepartmental and intradepartmental educational programs; advances research actives to improve educational programs, clinical practices and patient outcomes; and functions as subject matter expert to support and promote patient, family and staff education and understanding in specialty area.

The ideal Clinical Educator I candidate takes personal responsibility to understand, complete and maintain the professional and technical licensures/certifications required of the position and furnishes Baylor Scott & White with the necessary documentation to substantiate compliance; has four years clinical experience, and has strong business acumen, verbal and written communication with the ability to perform all position appropriate duties as required in a competent, professional and courteous manner.

  • Bachelors of Science in Nursing required
