We are looking for experienced RNs to work in one of our Transplant units.

The Registered Nurse (RN) exhibits and executes Baylor Scott & White Health's (BSWH) Values & Behaviors in delivering and coordinating patient care. Utilizing the BSWH nursing professional practice model, the RN is a licensed professional who is responsible for using clinical reasoning, developing, implementing and evaluating the nursing plan of care, managing both emotional and physical patients, assessing patient and family level of understanding to provide effective communication and education, working collaboratively with medical staff and providing quality care in a compassionate and professional manner.

Our transplant services combine significant medical and surgical expertise, advanced clinical research and innovative approaches to provide quality results and exceptional transplant service that is tailored for each individual patient. Our transplant program includes liver, kidney, pancreas, and islet cell patients. Our Transplant RNs provide care for patients during end-stage disease, preoperative phase as well as aftercare and long-term follow up. Our Transplant RNs perform a wide range of multidisciplinary functions drawing on clinical and triage skills.

Ideal Transplant RN candidates are passionate about transplant nursing, flexible, eager to learn, and have strong critical thinking skills. Candidates with a background in Oncology, Med Surg, or Telemetry are strongly urged to apply.

? Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
? RN license required
? Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
? 2 3 years of professional nursing experience in Oncology, Med Surg, or Telemetry in acute care setting strongly preferred

Note: If you have less than 6 months of experience, we recommend that you apply to our nursing internship program. Internships are available for new graduates and experienced nurses in a variety of specialties. New classes begin in January, June, and September.
