Manage the overall administration, day-to-day operation and responsibility for the Accounting Department. Develop, implement, and administer the services and programs of accounts payable, payroll, and general ledger. Provide consultation, clarify policies and procedures and resolve problems. Supervises employees, including hiring, terminating, training and evaluating performance. Assist in establishment of specific and long-range goals. Ensure compliance with federal, state and local rules and regulations. Perform special projects, research and analyze data, write reports and make recommendations. Balance all general ledger accounts in preparation of financial statements. Assist with development and maintenance of annual facility budget. Assist, prepare, review audit work reports, schedules, and responses. Prepare, review, and approve entries to the general ledger. Print checks for A/P and Payroll functions
Education- Accounting, Business, or Finance degree required.
Five or more years related experience required. Prefer at least one year in accounting.
Prior healthcare experience a plus.
Must have knowledge of MS Excel and AS400 accounting system.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities - Ability to utilize Excel Spreadsheets. Knowledge of standard accounting policies, procedures and practices. Must be skilled with operating a personal computer and a variety of office skills including but not limited to filing, typing and answering telephones. Ability to effectively communicate with peers, other departments and external customers. Ability to think logically, perform essential functions under stressful and changing conditions and represent the department in a professional manner.
