Position Description

We are seeking an experienced CT/RAD Tech to join our team! This is a full time position to perform a variety of diagnostic imaging procedures, including operating the CT scanner to produce diagnostic images under the direction of a Board Certified Radiologist and assists in CT guided biopsies.

Working hours are 10:30 pm - 7:00 am Monday - Thursday.


  • Obtains patient history, explains standard procedures, and addresses patient concerns
  • Produces computerized tomographic scanner radiographs of specific areas as required by the departmental procedures
  • Performs diagnostic imaging procedures
  • Procedures include, but are not limited to: all patient care and handling, quality control procedures, and all CT assisted procedures and reconstructions
  • Ensures images are of diagnostic quality and have technical quality
  • Applies principles of radiation protection and the ALARA principle
  • Assists in the diagnostic radiography department
  • Assist other staff as needed for patient care

  • Associates Degree of Applied Science in Radiology required
  • Current Texas Department of State Health Services Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist License required within 90 days of hire
  • American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT) certification in Computed Tomography (CT) required within 12 months of hire
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of CT experience in an acute care hospital setting required
  • Demonstrated knowledge of technical, diagnostic, and emergency procedures related to Diagnostic Radiology and CT
  • American Heart Association (AHA) approved course in Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon hire
  • Ability to be "on-call" approximately 6-8 days per month, rotating weekends
