$3000 Sign-On Bonus

Purpose of position:

To provide direct are to residents under the supervision of a licensed nurse in accordance with facility policies and procedures and report resident needs and concerns to a licensed nurse.

Qualifications:

Must have a current Washington Nursing Assistant Certification

Experience in Long-Term Care

One year or more experience as NAC, preferred

Must pass OBRA

Delegation of Authority:

Authority is delegated to the NAC to:

  1. Provide care to residents following Mission Healthcare to Bellevues policies and procedures

  2. Report residents needs and concerns to a licensed nurse.

Essential Functions:

  1. Follow written and oral directions

  2. Follow established performance standards and perform duties according to nursing service policies and procedures

  3. Assist new employees in following established policies and procedures

  4. Identify resident problems and concerns and report them immediately to a charge nurse or licensed nurse

  5. Complete assignments timely, completely, and accurately

  6. Conduct resident rounds as assigned

  7. Initiate corrective action as necessary and/or seek assistance of a licensed nurse

  8. Identify safety hazards and emergency situations, and initiate corrective action

  9. Observe all facility policies and procedures

  10. Attend all in-service classes as assigned and complete assignments

  11. Assume personal responsibility following facility procedures related to control of equipment and supplies

  12. Document incidents and/or unusual problems per facility procedures

  13. Review care cards and perform cares as outlined

  14. Use kiosk to document cares provided to the residents

  15. Complete documentation accurately, timely, and according to facility policies and procedures

  16. Maintain confidentiality of resident and facility information

  17. Report changes in residents to licensed nurse

  18. Follow facility procedures for admission, discharge and transfers of residents

  19. Listen to resident and family complaints and report problems to licensed nurse

  20. Assure that residents have call lights at hand and answer call lights promptly

  21. Assure that residents have adequate assistance with personal and oral hygiene needs according to facility policy and procedures

  22. Assist residents with activities of daily living as documented in the residents care plan

  23. Assure that residents are given adequate assistance with meals, nourishment and transportation to meals

  24. Check name bands on all assigned residents daily and report to the Social Worker any bands that have been removed or need to be replaced

  25. Consistently work cooperatively with residents, charge nurses and all departments

  26. Come to work in a clean, neat uniform, name badge on and consistently present an appropriate professional appearance

  27. Come to work as scheduled and consistently demonstrate dependability and punctuality

  28. Assume accountability as written in the employee handbook

  29. Perform other related duties as directed by your supervisor

  30. Perform all duties in an effective, timely and professional manner

  31. Assume Quality Assurance duties as assigned

  32. Observe infection control procedures

  33. Follow residents rights policies at all times

  34. Be responsible for the safety of residents under your supervision

  35. Must use safe body mechanics at all times

  36. Must be able to lift, push, and pull as indicated

  37. Must be able to stand, walk throughout your shift

  38. Must know Blood Borne Pathogens Exposure Procedures
