Nemours is seeking a Lead Registered Nurse - Foulk Road, Primary Care to join our team in Wilmington, DE.

Schedule: 40 hours a week with some evenings and a few weekend rotations.

  1. Proven leadership ability.
  2. Understanding of process improvement concepts.
  3. Performs patient assessments. Performs and documents patient intake (height, weight, head circumference, blood pressure, vision and hearing screening, reason for visit, chief complaint).
  4. Administers immunizations, oral and/or injectable medications. Administers PPD and interprets results.
  5. Assists providers with procedures including, but not limited to, suture removal, catheterizations, etc.
  6. Transcribes, collects, labels and arranges transport for lab specimens. Performs back office laboratory tests.
  7. Provides age- and developmentally appropriate care to infants, children, adolescents and adults.
  8. Triages patient calls utilizing delineated protocols and sound nursing judgment.
  9. Serves as a resource for clinical office staff in the accurate and timely completion of patient care.
  10. Provides oversight of staff to ensure that clinical office policies and procedures are being followed.
  11. Ensures professional behavior of clinical team members by monitoring of adherence to Nemours Standards of Behavior.

Requirements
  • BSN required; nursing certification preferred.
  • 3-5 years of pediatric office nurse experience preferred.
  • Must have or be eligible for a Delaware nursing licensure.
  • CPR certification with the American Heart Association.
