Come elevate your skills and experience by working with a world class 800-bed, Magnet designated Academic Medical Center with comprehensive and technologically advanced surgical suites.

University of Maryland Medical Center is seeking experienced OR Registered Nurses to join the UMMC Perioperative Nursing team.

We are looking for OR Nurses with at least 1 year of experience. We have the ability to train interested nurses on new procedures and services.

General OR - performs surgeries on the patients ranging in age from neonatal to geriatric for both inpatient and outpatient procedures.

— Transplant (Heart, Lung, Liver, Kidney, Pancreas, Face & Limb) — Cardiac — Robotic — Oncology — Vascular — Plastic & Reconstructive — Thoracic — GI — Orthopedic and more!

Our General Operating Room is a 52,000 square foot operating facility comprised of 22 operating rooms for adult and pediatric patients, and two additional minor procedure rooms. It is supported by a 28 bed PACU with an 8 bed pre-op area.

What You Need to Be Successful:

  • Currently licensed as an RN in the state of Maryland or eligible to practice under a compact license.
  • BSN preferred (Associates Nurses will be considered with 1+ years of experience);
  • At least one - two years preferred, experience as a circulating OR nurse in an inpatient facility, outpatient surgical office, or other environment performing surgical services to patients
