The OR Registered Nurse is responsible for aiding surgeons in the OR. Operating Room RNs will prepare the room and the patient for the procedure and make positive that all medical equipment is sterile and working correctly.ResponsibilitiesOR Nurse responsibilities consist of:
- Assessing the health of the patient before, during and after the operation.
- Anticipate the needs of the surgeons and hand medical instruments and medical supplies to them during operations.
- Preserving and labeling any items needed for lab work.
