Our ER is also a state-authorized Level I trauma center with provisional burn designation where we offer Central Virginia’s only Pediatric ER staffed 24/7 by pediatric-trained ER nurse and physician specialists. Chippenham Burn Wound Unit:- 33 Beds on a newly renovated unit

- Trauma to include car accidents, falls, head trauma, ETOH, gunshot wounds Medical Surgical Patients to include sepsis, ketoacidosis, respiratory failure, GI, Fluid Overload, renal failure, osteomyelitis
- Clinical management of the unit Role model providing leadership for the unit Staff personnel management including scheduling, orientation, training Customer satisfaction (patient, visitors, physicians and staff) Compliance with professional, regulatory, governmental and organizational standards Quality management activities, and much more.
- Diploma or Associates Degree from a professional nursing program (required) BSN or current enrollment in a BSN program at an accredited school of Nursing (preferred)
- Current Registered Nurse License in Virginia or Current Multistate Compact License (required) American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS or BCLS) Health Care Provider (required) ACLS certification (preferred)
- At least 1 year of current nursing experience in an acute care setting (required) 2 or more years current nursing experience in an acute care setting (preferred) Experience as a Charge Nurse, Clinical Lead or Clinical Coordinator, with demonstrated leadership ability and the skill to educate others (preferred)
- Full Time 12hr shifts Weekend & Holiday Rotations
