The Cath Lab RN assists medical staff in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiac problems. Cath lab nurses are responsible for preparing the patient for their examinations, and give emotional and physical support to the patient.ResponsibilitiesAs a Catheterization Lab RN your responsibilities include:
Checking the patient’s vitals before, during and after procedures.
Dispensing and logging medication.
Providing treatment when necessary.
Helping the physicians perform various procedures such as angioplasties and stent placements.
RequirementsOne year of experience as a Cath Lab Registered Nurse within the past two years.
Current RN License in good standing.
Up to date BLS from American Heart Association.
Negative Drug Screen.
