The main responsibility of a Hospice RN is to provide care for patients whom are suffering from fatal diseases. It is very important for a Hospice Registered Nurse to be comforting while also making sure the patient is getting the highest quality of care.ResponsibilitiesAs a Hospice RN your duties consist of:
Offering companionship and support to the patients and their families, while communicating updates in the patient's health.
Ensuring safety measures and ethical standards are being met during the patient's care.
Evaluating patients and making rapid, critical decisions on needed care before alerting the doctor.
Maintaining emotional and physical stability when handling the challenges of major illnesses, and even death.
RequirementsOne year of experience as a Hospice Registered Nurse within the past two years.
Active Nursing License in good standing.
Up to date BLS from American Heart Association.
Negative Drug Screen.
