As the Trauma Nurse Coordinator, you will be collaborating with the director to lead a team of amazing medical professionals.  This is a great opportunity to take your career to the next level!

What you should expect to do in this role:

    You will be responsible for the identification & clinical evaluation and tracking of trauma service patients.  Directs ongoing patient tracking, chart abstracting, and data entry of trauma service patients into the trauma registry data bank. You will be responsible for quality assessment of patient care to include assisting with design and development of QA indicators, active participation in outcome review, and initial screening for peer review issues.   You will be responsible for all trauma registry data and QA activities will comply with state and national guidelines to include the state trauma rules and regulations, American College of Surgeons Committee on Trauma Optimal Guidelines, and The Joint Commission criteria. You will provide on going statistical reports and assists with developing specialized reports as required or assigned. You will  be responsible for trauma Peer Review documentation and loop closure, and for trauma related education coordination and documentation. You will be responsible for weekly data validation and reports results to the team including the Director Trauma Services. You will participate in trauma research and injury prevention program as appropriate.  Serves as a liaison between the trauma service and related departments.
What qualifications you will need for this role:

    Current Colorado Registered Nurse License or valid compact license Current BLS, American Heart Association or American Red Cross, required TNCC preferred. Bachelor Science Nursing preferred Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required Minimum of 2 years clinical RN experience required  Prefer experience as a Trauma Coordinator.  If none, must have three years recent (within past year) Emergency Department or Critical Care experience, preferably in a trauma center.  Experience with Quality Improvement desired.
