Pediatric CVL/Structural Heart- RCIS
Perform technical and patient care functions during diagnostic and intervention procedures in the Cardiovascular Lab.
Experience:
2 years of adult Cath lab diagnostic and interventional procedure in performing
scrubbing, circulating and monitoring/recording duties Preferred.-
Requires detailed knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy, physiology, disease processes and principles of cardiovascular diagnostic and interventional technology.
successful completion of RCIS or RCES: Functions as a Circulator with medication/IV responsibilities: to include Adult Cardiac
Catheterization, Cardiac Devices, Vascular
Catheterization, and/or Pediatric Cardiac Catheterization and/or
Electrophysiology and/or Neuro
Intervention and/or Structural Heart.
*Functions as a Monitoring/Recording Technologist: to include Adult Cardiac
Catheterization, Vascular Catheterization, Cardiac Devices, and/or
Pediatric Cardiac Catheterization and/or Electrophysiology and/or Neuro
Intervention and/or Structural heart.
Credentials: RCIS,-ACLS & PALS is required

Please note time off requests must be disclosed with initial submission to be considered for approval. Time off requested after the acceptance date will not be approved.
13 weeks assignment, 2 years experience in current specialty required. Must be a team player, flexible and accustomed to fast paced environment.- Must have successfully completed at least one 13-week travel assignment. The individual must demonstrate skills necessary to function in the cardiovascular lab while assisting cardiologists and surgeons during diagnostic and invasive cardiovascular, peripheral vascular and endovascular procedures. Candidate must have advanced knowledge in sterile procedures and basic knowledge of imaging equipment.- Candidate must be able to work cohesively with other team members.
BLS and ACLS certifications required. BLS and ACLS must be completed through American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross. EPIC EMR experience preferred. Traveler must pass the BCA testing during first week of assignment. Travelers that do not pass the BCA test will be dismissed.
When submitting candidates include at least two references (one must be from current manager), a resume, and completed skills checklist/competency assessment.
Shifts may fluctuate to fulfill department staffing needs. On call, weekends and holidays may be required. Travelers are first to float within facility and to alternate locations within 20 miles of permanent assigned location. Traveling pairs are not guaranteed same schedules or same shifts.
Orientation is the first week of the contract, not to exceed 40 total hours, and includes EPIC training. Scrubs required and provided by the facility.
