We are seeking a Registered Nurse Coordinator to join our Cardiovascular Service Line (CVSL) program.

As a RN Coordinator in our CVSL program you will: 

    Perform direct patient care within the scope of the nurse practice act, as it applies to the outcomes and processes defined for Cardiovascular Service Line (CVSL) Programs, coordinates and implements care in the inpatient and outpatient setting for the cardiac patient as directed by program coordination requirements.

    You will be a integral member of the CVSL Program team, the scope of the role includes acting as a liaison with physicians, patient/families and ancillary departments. Assessment of financial, medical and social resources of current and potential program patients in conjunction with the CVSL Program team.

    You will coordinate information flow among the medical, nursing, financial and CVSL Program staff as appropriate.

    Develop and implement a teaching plan with the patient and family, including lab values and diagnostics, medication overview and diagnosis related information. Assist the CVSL Program team in the coordination of patient charts, diagnostic studies and other applicable information.

 

 

Qualifications

Education:

 

Bachelors Degree in Nursing required

License/Certifcations:

Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state which you practice and/or hold and active Compact/Multi-State RN license.

A current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) Heath Care Provider is required.

Certified in Critical Care with Cardiac Surgery Subspecialty or other related certification preferred

Expereince: 

5 years’ experience with cardiac/vascular surgery and/or invasive cardiology. 

Skills in physical assessment, lab data interpretation, technology skills and nursing theory and practice.

Teaching experience in patient/family and staff education.
