A leading organization is seeking a Nurse Director to lead the Quality and Patient Safety activities for one of their health systems.

Responsibilities
Oversee the patient safety, infection control, and quality activities of a community hospital
Oversee the constant improvement of clinical processes
Lead all audits and accreditation preparation for Joint Commission, Department of Public Health, Department of Mental Health
Continually improve infection control, quality indicators, clinical processes, and healthcare evaluations
Develop programs to educate medical staff on regulatory requirements, upcoming audits, and performance improvement
Design, implement, and improve the hospital’s quality improvement program
Participate in the strategic planning for Quality programs
Manage data abstraction and reporting for government agencies
Hold fiscal responsibility and ensure that financial goals are met
Assist in recruiting, transferring, onboarding, evaluating, and terminating staff
Develop and utilize performance metrics to continually improve quality and operating efficiency
Maintain thorough knowledge of regulatory and accrediting body requirements.
Requirements
Masters degree required (MHA or MBA strongly preferred)
Active RN license required
Certified Professional Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) certification preferred
At least 5 years of experience leading quality, risk management, compliance, regulatory affairs, and external accreditations processes in a Manager or Director role
