What You’ll Do 

 

The Registered Nurse—Rapid Response is responsible for rounding and responding to calls in all adult units to provide urgent/emergent nursing interventions. 

The successful candidate will be able to: 

  • Assess, evaluate and initiate approved interventions for patients at risk for/or exhibiting a change in condition
  • Utilize critical thinking and problem solving skills to recognize early signs and symptoms of clinical deterioration and act accordingly to insure optimal outcomes
  • Use effective communication skills to collaborate with team members, physicians and nursing staff to provide quality patient care consistent with the philosophy and objective of the organization
  • Respond to stroke alerts and expedite care to the acute stroke patient
  • Participate in data collection for quality improvement and core measure activities and act as a resource, mentor and role model for nursing staff
  • Provide on-going hospital wide education for nursing staff, such as mock code training
  • Contribute to the provision of quality nursing care through performance improvement techniques that demonstrate positive outcomes in patient care 
  • Maintain confidentiality with all information 
  • Perform any and all other duties as assigned 

 

What You’ll Bring 

 

  • Associate’s Degree in Nursing required, Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred 
  • Minimum of 2+ years’ experience as an RN in a critical care setting required 
  • Current valid OK State Professional Registered Nurse License 
  • Current BLS and ACLS certification 
  • Position requires fluency in English language to function in job environment appropriately 
  • Good interpersonal, communication, team-work, and customer service skills 
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving and follow-through skills 
  • Ability to multi-task constantly, react to changes quickly/productively, and tolerate interruptions 
  • Ability to perform work when no directions are given, and give directions to others 
  • Remain flexible, organized, professional and able to analyze, make sound decisions under stressful or crisis situations 
  • Demonstrate knowledge of current computer systems, equipment or programs used in the organization, knowledge of Epic a plus! 
  • Demonstrate maturity and accountability
