Sign On Bonus Eligibility
- Acute care positions will require at least 1 year of Acute care experience.
- At least 1 year of experience is required in the specialty for which the new hire is being hired into, and that experience must be within the last 5 years.
- Any Sign On Bonus exceptions must be reviewed/approved by the site HRVP.
The ER at Medical City Fort Worth
hospital has 30 beds and an annual volume of 20,000. Plaza is the only Certified Comprehensive Stroke Center in Tarrant County and is also a Cycle IV accredited Chest Pain Center. We have a very active Adult Unit Practice Council with highly-engaged members who facilitate new policy development and process improvement as well as an innovative Peer Interview Committee that helps evaluate potential new employees.

Position Requirements: Licensure / Certification / Registration:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- BSN required within 1 year. Magnet®/Pathways® Accredited hospitals require BSN at time of hire.
- Current RN license in the State of Texas or compact license
- Certification in specialty required within 1 year.
- Completion of charge nurse course required within one year.
- Other leadership training and activity in professional organizations highly preferred.
: Two (2) years of clinical practice in the clinical specialty of his/her unit and leadership/ management experience is preferred.
: Continuing demonstration of clinical and leadership competency. Commitment and understanding of staffing matrix/productivity standard. Committed to the goals of the unit, patient safety initiatives and positive patient experience.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
: Demonstrates good organizational skills. Provides safe and appropriate patient care within the standards of nursing practice. Displays judgment and superior problem solving skills. Communicates positively and professionally with all internal and external customers.
