St. Joseph Place, part of Ascension Living, is looking for caring and compassionate RN Manager to join our team! This beautiful community located in Overland Park, KS, offers skilled nursing and both long and short-term care.

What You Will Do: As an RN Manager, you will provide direct care to adult and geriatric residents and assist in the management, coordination and maintenance of an efficient, productive and organized clinical staff within his/her assigned area. In absence of nursing leadership, shall have administrative authority over and responsibility for the functions and activities of the clinical department.

Key Responsibilities

Work cooperatively and efficiently with departmental community leadershipAssist in implementing clinical services and programsEffectively communicate expected outcomes, efficient work routines and work procedures to the clinical staffAssist with implementation and evaluation of quality of care including on-going auditing of quality indicatorsAssure adherence to clinical policies and procedures within departmental guidelinesAssist with admissions, discharges and transfers to assure appropriate care and compliance with state and/or federal regulations.Assume administrative authority for clinical departments in the absence of the nursing leadershipAssist in maintaining clinical budgetsAssume a community presence that monitors resident careOversee completion of clinical documentation per community policy, and state and federal regulationsFollow regulatory and community standards, policies, procedures and precautions in the performance of all job duties to ensure a safe work environmentAssume responsibility for enhancing professional knowledge and skills through participation in educational programs and seminarsOther duties as assigned. What You Will Need: Required Credentials

Valid license as a Registered Nurse in the state of KansasGraduate of an accredited school of nursing CPR certification preferred for Assisted Living; required for LTC upon hire, or obtain within 30 days of employment Preferred Education/Experience

BSN from an accredited college or university Three years nursing management experience in senior careExperience with current and emerging delivery systems with capability of implementing changes as neededAt Ascension Living, we are always learning things from our senior living communities, hospitals, and caregivers all over the country.
