Position Description
The Cardiovascular RN provides high quality patient care to the cardiac patient in accordance with the philosophy and policies of Northside Hospital. The Cardiovascular RN acts as a nursing resource as it relates to their area of responsibility, and will be assigned to the Pacemaker Clinic. Responsibilities include: performing interrogation, interpretations, and programming of pacemakers, and implantable Cardiovert Defribrillators (ICD) and notifying physician of results. Conducting routine pacemaker follow up in clinic and through trans-telephonic clinic and reprogramming as required.
Mon - Fri schedule. No weekends or holidays.
Position Requirements
Must be a graduate of an accredited School of Nursing and have an active Georgia Registered Nurse license.
Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS)
ACLS certification.
Minimum of two years of cardiology RN exp; one (1) year preferred involving the care of critical care patients.
Thorough knowledge of cardiac arrhythmia interpretation, prior electrophysiology experience a plus.
RCIS or RCES certification preferred
Strong computer skills
License/Certification Requirements: Yes
Work Hours: 7a-4:30p
Weekend Requirements: No
On-Call Requirements: No
