  • You contribute to our success. Every role has an impact on our patients’ lives and you have the opportunity to make a difference. We are looking for a dedicated Trauma Performance Improvement and Injury Prevention Nurse like you to be a part of our team.    Responsibilities:  

    The Trauma Performance Improvement (PI)/Injury Prevention Nurse is an autonomously functioning Registered Nurse who, as a result of graduate education and in-depth clinical experience, possesses advanced knowledge and clinical skills necessary to coordinate activities for the Trauma Program. The PI nurse collaborates with the Trauma Program Director and other health care team members by serving as a leader, clinical practitioners, educator, consultant and research. Responsible for monitoring and coordinating trauma program and system elements to ensure institutional compliance with the American College of surgeons Committee on trauma Standards for Level II Trauma Center Verification. Involvement begins with monitoring pre-hospital care and extends through reintegration into society. The Trauma PI nurse functions under the supervision of the Trauma Program Director.


    Qualifications

    What Qualifications You Will Need.

     

    • RN with a minimum of three years clinical nursing experience in Emergency Department, ICU or other clinical care area required.

    • Current RN license or compact RN license required.

    • Current certification in area of specialty practice (preferred).

    • Ability to achieve and maintain BCLS, ACLS, TNCC, and EPNC must be maintained throughout employment with the hospital.

    • Previous experience with Trauma PIP and/or Injury Prevention is preferred. Prior Emergency/Trauma or Critical Care experience preferred.

    • TNCC Instructor status preferred.
