The goal of this program is to provide participants with guidelines to promote an optimal healing environment for chronic wounds. Upon completion, the participant will be able to:
  • Identify 3 risk factors that lead to diabetic ulcer development
  • Differentiate between ischemic, neuropathic and neuro-ischemic diabetic foot ulcers based upon clinical characteristics
  • List 3 treatment modalities that are used to successfully treat diabetic ulcers
