Overview
The goal of this course is to educate nursing professionals in all post-acute settings about how to use the PUSH tool in wound care management.Goals and Learning Outcomes
This course will provide you with an introduction to the use of the Pressure Ulcers Scale of Healing (PUSH) tool in wound care management. A review of pressure injury staging definitions is also provided. The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) acknowledges that different terminology to describe pressure-related skin conditions may be documented. Throughout this course, the National Pressure Injury Advisory Panel, or NPIAP, adopted term pressure injury is used interchangeably with the term pressure ulcer. Organizations should follow their own documentation guidelines for approved terms.
