Goal and Learning Outcomes

The goal of this interprofessional (IP) course is to provide occupational therapists, dietitians, and nurses, in all settings, with education describing the concept of IP continuing education and its role in improving outcomes for patients.

After taking this course, you should be able to:

Identify the benefits of IP team collaboration for patients and professional care providers when compared to traditional approaches.
Determine the role of interprofessional continuing education (IPCE) in facilitating care providers’ development of IP clinical practice.
Recognize IPCE instructional methods and structure.
