Spirituality is a broad concept that includes the need of all people to find ultimate meaning and purpose in life and to feel connected to self, other people, transcendence, or nature. This course will address the knowledge, attitudes, and skills related to spiritual assessment, interventions, and outcomes evaluation for people seeking care in today’s healthcare environment.
The goal of this continuing education module is to provide professional nurses with the knowledge and skills for conducting spiritual assessments, interventions, and outcomes evaluation for those experiencing healthcare concerns.
- Determine the current state of spiritual inclusion in healthcare and relevant assessment tools to address spiritual care in practice.
- Identify at least two nursing interventions to support enhanced spiritual nursing care.
