Goal and Learning Outcomes

The goal of this continuing education module is to update the ability of nurses, dietitians, fitness professionals, health educators, respiratory therapists, social workers, athletic trainers and physicians to recognize and deal with sexual harassment and retaliation on the job. After studying the information presented here, you will be able to:
  • Discuss Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 legislation as it relates to sexual harassment
  • Describe the standard for retaliation under the law
  • List steps supervisors and managers should take to deal with complaints of sexual harassment and retaliation
