Developmental milestones are the physical and behavioral signs of development in children. This course discusses developmental milestones and developmental delays in children. It also presents the interdisciplinary approaches used in children with developmental delays.
The course aims to equip home health nurses with the knowledge of typical developmental milestones and how to provide support to children with developmental delays.
- Recall at least five typical developmental milestones and disabilities/disorders that may occur in children.
- Describe at least three methods used to identify the most common developmental delays in children.
- Identify at least three interdisciplinary approaches used in children with developmental delays.
