Overview
This course provides nurses and physicians with information about the assessment and treatment of pediatric pain.Goals and Learning Outcomes
- Identify how a child’s cognitive level and development stage, including children with complex needs, influences their ability to perceive, express, and manage pain.
- Recognize the components of a thorough pediatric pain assessment, including the use of pediatric pain assessment tools.
- Recall key strategies for both pharmacological and nonpharmacological pain management in children, including the use of multimodal approaches.
