Learn about cancer prevention and screening, palliative and end-of-life care, treatments and therapies used in cancer care, physiological changes seen during disease progression and/or treatment, professional issues and exam strategies, and much more. Interact with certified experts in the field. Complete the entire series and earn 30.0 contact hours and a certification of completion.
The Oncology Nursing Review and Certification Prep Focused CE Series will provide a targeted review of oncology concepts. This series is intended to help you understand the specifics of this specialty and to prepare you for certification.

Nurse.com - Focused CE Series
Focused CE Series combines live webinars with independent web-based study, creating a “virtual classroom” environment. Tackling complex initiatives, we break them into key topics, and bring nationally known experts right into the attendee’s home, office or facility. Learners go through a multiple week engagement with the same small group of peers, so they can share practices and questions together in an interactive “two-way” webinar experience from wherever they live or work. Between webinars, learners complete independent online study modules to reinforce and apply their new learning and prepare for the next session.
Kristen Daly, MSN, ANP-BC, OCN® is a nurse practitioner in medical oncology at Siteman Cancer Center, Washington University Medical School of Medicine. Prior to becoming a nurse practitioner, she was an oncology nurse educator responsible for training all inpatient oncology nurses at Barnes-Jewish Hospital, Siteman Cancer Center, an NCCN Cancer Center. She was an instuctor for the ONS Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Provider Certificate Course. She was awarded the Barnes-Jewish Hospital Edward J Stiften scholarship in 2012.
Deena Dell, MSN, CNS, RN-BC, AOCN®, LNC is an oncology advanced practice nurse at Sarasota Memorial Hospital in Sarasota, Florida. She is on the Medical Review Panel of Advanced Medical Reviews, Inc. as well as an independent contractor and consultant for ONS. She is a member of the Editorial Board for The Oncology Nurse ad Journal of the Advanced Practitioner in Oncology and a member of the ACCC Advisory Committee, Precision Medicine.
Helen Marie Dorris, BSN, RN, OCN® is a RN IV in the infusion centers at University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS). She has over 20 years of nursing experience spanning pediatric to adult in non-oncology and oncology nursing. Dorris is currently pursuing her MSN degree focusing on administration and education.
Rebekah Flynn, DNP, APRN, AGCNS-BC, OCN® is a clinical nurse specialist at Washington University School of Medicine, adjunct nursing faculty at Webster University, and adjunct teaching professor at University of Missouri, St. Louis. She is a member of the Oncology Nursing Society, Midwest Nursing Research Society, and Sigma Theta Tau Nursing Honor Society, Iowa chapter. Flynn has a heart for oncology and education and looks forward to teaching opportunities to help nurses and patients.
Gretchen Gunderson, MS, RN, OCN® is a system oncology clinical educator at Mount Carmel Health System, Columbus, Ohio. She is a member of the Oncology Nursing Society and Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing®. Gunderson has extensive oncology experience spanning policy and procedure review, case scenario simulation, competency evaluation, and mentoring.
Stephanie Jackson, MSN, RN, AOCNS, BMTCN is an oncology clinical nurse specialist at UCLA Medical Center, Los Angeles, California. She has extensive clinical nursing experience and enjoys teaching nursing. Jackson has been an instructor for different audiences from students in the academic environment to clinical nurses preparing for certification. She has been a past president of the Greater Los Angeles Oncology Nursing Society and also teaches in the live seminar environment.
AnnMarie Walton, PhD, MPH, RN, OCN®, CHES is a postdoctoral fellow and adjunct faculty, The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Nursing. She is a 2016 recipient of the Excellence in Oncology Nursing Health Policy and Advocacy Award by the Oncology Nursing Society.
Webinars must be attended in their entirety and the evaluation form must be completed.

Cancellation and Refund Policy:
Phone cancellations must be confirmed in writing. Cancellations received four weeks prior to the start date of the series will receive a full refund of the registration fee. Cancellations received after four weeks and up to seven days prior to the start of the series will be assessed a $50 processing fee. Cancellations received seven days prior or no shows will not receive a refund. In the event that the program is cancelled, a full refund will be issued.
