Overview
This course will review the nutrient needs of patients with acute kidney injury and chronic kidney disease. It will discuss the indications, formula or solutions considerations, and enteral and parenteral nutrition complications. This course provides case scenarios and review questions to improve the critical thinking and skills needed to recommend nutrition support in patients with renal disease. The goal of this course is to educate the healthcare team in the acute care setting on the components of nutritional support for patients with renal disease.
