Goal and Learning Outcomes

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be better able to:

  • Explain the role of the trigeminal and corneal sensory nerves in the normal function of the cornea
  • Summarize the diseases and injuries that commonly cause NK
  • Apply appropriate testing strategies in support of a timely diagnosis of NK
  • Develop evidence-based treatment plans for patients with NK based on disease stage
