Goal and Learning Outcomes

This course explains what capital allocation is and how it impacts and supports organizational goals. It includes the evolution of the definition of capital resources, sources of capital funding, discussion of how capital capacity and debt capacity are determined, the importance of credit ratings on an organization’s cost structure and ability to fund strategic initiatives, as well as a review of how capital allocation differs from capital budgeting.
