Overview
This course provides the healthcare team with updated guidelines for the diagnosis and management of metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease.Goals and Learning Outcomes
This course equips healthcare providers with the latest insights into metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD). It covers the etiology, pathophysiology, and updated classifications of MASLD and its progression to more severe conditions like MASH, cirrhosis, and hepatocellular carcinoma.
Participants will learn evidence-based screening and diagnostic practices, including the use of noninvasive tools, and explore comprehensive management strategies focusing on lifestyle interventions, pharmacotherapy, and interprofessional collaboration. Special emphasis is placed on understanding the impact of comorbidities.
The goal of this course is to provide the healthcare team with the newest guidelines for managing MASLD.
- Recall the etiology and pathophysiology of MASLD.
- Indicate the appropriate screening methods and diagnostic metrics for MASLD.
- Prioritize treatments for the management of MASLD.
