Upon completion of this activity, participants should be better able to:

  • Recognize risk factors that justify the need for lipid testing and/or cascade screening for HoFH
  • Discuss the mechanisms of action and efficacy and safety data for newer agents for HoFH in children and adults
  • Characterize caregiver and patient education approaches that facilitate understanding of risks associated with insufficiently managed HoFH
  • Discuss strategies to improve the knowledge, skills or performance of the healthcare team
