Only about half of U.S. adults engage in the recommended aerobic activity as outlined in the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Physical Activity Guidelines for Americans (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention [CDC], 2021). Healthcare professionals need to understand the latest exercise guidelines to make the best recommendations for their patients.
