The nurse’s role is critical to ensure that anticipated clinical changes do not progress to more serious complications that can jeopardize optimal patient outcomes.

  • CAPA/CPAN: Standards of Perianesthesia Practice

    1. The goal of this module is to provide perianesthesia nurses with an overview of the American Society of PeriAnesthesia Nurses (ASPAN) Standards of Care, practice recommendations, and staffing requirements. It will also cover the basics of anesthesia administration.
    2. Contact Hours: 1.5
  • CAPA/CPAN: Stability of Neuro, Hematologic, MSK, and Cardiopulmonary Systems

    1. This module will provide information surrounding the maintenance of major body system functions in the perioperative setting. The goal of this course is to assist nurses in the perioperative setting with tools to pass the perianesthesia certification examinations.

  • CAPA/CPAN: Stability of GI, GU, Endocrine and Gynecologic Systems and Fluid Balance

    1. This module will provide information surrounding fluid balance, genitourinary, gastrointestinal, endocrine, and gynecologic concerns related to surgical procedures, and patient stability in the perioperative setting.
    2. Contact Hours: 1.25
