Goal and Learning Outcomes

The goal of this educational program is to provide nurses, speech-language pathologists, physical therapists, and social workers in acute care settings with information on how to support people living with Alzheimer’s disease, both individually and as an interprofessional team. After taking this course, you should be able to:
  • Select at least three healthcare-related professions with effective approaches to
    supporting people with AD.
  • Recall how interprofessional collaboration in care approaches can enhance outcomes
    for patients with AD.
  • Indicate two evidence-based interventions for people living with AD.
  • Review three quality-of-life elements and innovative management approaches to living
    with AD.
