  • AAACM: ECG and Rhythm Interpretation Case Studies

    1. In this course, you will review some basic cardiac case studies including signs and symptoms of abnormal rhythms, ECG interpretation, treatments, and nursing diagnosis. This course will help you understand a patient's ECG rhythm and how that rhythm helps determine their treatment.
    2. Contact Hours: 1
  • AAACM: Issues of Perfusion, Hypertrophy and Other ECG Abnormalities

    1. This course includes many ECG and concise descriptions to update nurses about elements of the 12-Lead ECG and how it relates to perfusion, hypertrophy, and other clinical conditions. Learners will encounter ECG examples of hypertrophy, myocardial infarction, right and left hypertrophy, and QT changes related to medications. At the end of this course, learners will be provided with a 12-Lead ECG and asked to identify abnormalities and potential causes related to the depicted ECG changes.
    2. Contact Hours: 0.5
  • AAACM: Sinus Atrial Junctional Rhythms and AV Heart Blocks

    1. This review course provides the learner with an overview of common ECG abnormalities including the components of sinus rhythm. Additionally, it covers sinus bradycardia and sinus tachycardia including identifying patients who are symptomatic and the treatments for patients who are symptomatic. The course also reviews heart blocks, junctional rhythms, and atrial rhythms.
    2. Contact Hours: 0.5
  • AAACM: Twelve Lead ECG Review: The Basics of ECG Interpretation

    1. With an understanding of basic cardiac physiology and practice, successful ECG interpretation is possible. Gaining proficiency in ECG interpretation and rhythm recognition can help the nurse to intervene efficiently and effectively in a potentially difficult clinical situation and, ultimately, improve patient outcomes. This course reviews 12-Lead ECG including leads and interpretation, coronary artery circulation, components of a normal ECG waveform, axis deviation, and bundle branch blocks in preparation of certification examinations.
    2. Contact Hours: 0.5
  • AAACM: Ventricular Arryhthmias, Asystole, Pulseless Electrical Activity and Paced Rhythms

    1. This review provides the learner with an overview of ventricular dysrhythmias, asystole, pulseless electrical activity, and paced rhythms. Healthcare professionals need to identify ventricular arrhythmias, asystole, and pulseless electrical activity to quickly respond in the event any should occur.
    2. Contact Hours: 0.25
