Certification Review Includes

  • ECG and Rhythm Interpretation Case Studies

    1. The goal of this module is to recognize and correlate cardiac conditions to their related electrocardiograms. On completion of this module, the learner will be able to:
Identify and assess signs and symptoms of coronary artery blockage and construct 3 nursing diagnoses related to chest pain
Interpret ECG changes associate with cardiac arrhythmias, including atrial fibrillation and stable tachycardia
Recognize ECG changes in sinus bradycardia and 3rd degree AV Block
    2. Contact Hours: 1
  • Issues of Perfusion, Hypertrophy and Other ECG Abnormalities

    1. This review module provides the learner with the tools needed to interpret perfusion issues, cardiac hypertrophy and other ECG abnormalities on rhythm strips. On completion of this activity, the learner will be able to:
      Define issues of perfusion
Recall features of hypertrophy displayed on ECG
Summarize ECG abnormalities related to electrolyte and medications
    2. Contact Hours: 1
  • Sinus Atrial Junctional Rhythms and AV Heart Blocks

      Recognize sinus rhythms
      Differentiate atrial rhythms
      Identify junctional rhythms
      Distinguish AV blocks
    2. Contact Hours: 1
  • The Basics of ECG Interpretation

    1. This review module provides the learner with the tools needed to preform basic interpretation of electrocardiograms (ECG), recognize common ECG abnormalities, and interpret rhythm strips. On completion of this activity, the learner will be able to:
Identify the findings of a normal electrocardiography (ECG)
      Review coronary circulation
Correlate ECG findings to area of myocardial damage
Distinguish normal axis from left and right deviations
    2. Contact Hours: 1
  • Ventricular Arryhthmias, Asystole, Pulseless Electrical Activity and Paced Rhythms
