  • 12-Lead Electrocardiography

    1. The purpose of this course is to review the aspects of the 12- Lead electrocardiogram (ECG) that define it as a diagnostic tool. The ability to recognize normal waveforms is required to distinguish ECG abnormalities. Variations in the 12-Lead ECG can occur from electrical, mechanical and/or vascular events. Upon completion of this module, you will be able to:
      Identify the findings of a normal electrocardiography (ECG).
      Review coronary circulation.
      Correlate ECG findings to area of myocardial damage.
      Distinguish normal axis from left and right deviations.
      Recognize ECG abnormalities.

  • Bedside Assessment of the CV System, Heart Sounds & Anatomy

    1. The goal of this module is to provide a brief overview of cardiac anatomy, important points of a cardiac assessment, and auscultation and interpretation of heart sounds. On completion of this module, you will be able to:
      Identify key cardiac structures and their function
      Describe a cardiac assessment and interview process
      Discuss cardiac pathophysiology behind abnormal heart sounds

  • The Basics of ECG Interpretation

    1. This review module provides the learner with the tools needed to preform basic interpretation of electrocardiograms (ECG), recognize common ECG abnormalities, and interpret rhythm strips. On completion of this activity, the learner will be able to:
      Identify the findings of a normal electrocardiography (ECG)
      Review coronary circulation
      Correlate ECG findings to area of myocardial damage
      Distinguish normal axis from left and right deviations
