AONE promotes issues relevant to nursing practice

The American Organization of Nurse Executives, through AONE Advocacy, provides important public policy information on issues relevant to nursing and healthcare. It informs nurses, nurse managers and leaders on current developments in the federal arena and encourages them to take action on health and patient care issues which impact their ability to provide, safe, accessible and quality patient care services, according to the AONE website.

AONE Advocacy also communicates information about AONE’s legislative priorities and engages nurse leaders to participate in the political process to ensure the voice of nursing leadership is heard in Washington, D.C.

The next AONE Advocacy Day is in Washington, D.C., on May 18, 2016.
