The Alliance for Ethical International Recruitment Practices announced the appointment of its new governing board, which includes Dan Suarez, BSN, MA, RN, OnCourse Learning Corporation’s (publisher of Nurse.com magazines) business development manager for the New York area.
The Alliance Governing Board includes representatives from major stakeholders involved in the recruitment of foreign-educated health professionals, including unions, professional organizations, hospital employers, staffing and recruitment agencies. Suarez has been with OnCourse Learning since 1996. Prior to this position, Suarez worked as a nurse recruitment professional at several New York area healthcare facilities. Suarez has been a member of the National Hispanic Nurses Association for two decades, and he currently serves as president of the association.
Suarez also is active in numerous professional nursing and healthcare organizations and associations and was appointed as a fellow to the New York Academy of Medicine. He serves on several boards and is co-chairman of the steering committee for 10 Thousand Nurses on Boards Coalition. Suarez has received numerous awards and recognitions for his community advocacy and humanitarian missions.
