N.J. Collaborating Center for Nursing appoints new board members

The New Jersey Collaborating Center for Nursing appointed 10 new board members this summer.
NJCCN works on behalf of nurses to provide evidence-based recommendations regarding the nursing workforce and its impact on patient care. The center is guided by a 17-member board representing New Jersey healthcare stakeholders.
“We are pleased to have such a diverse group of board members who can help generate nursing workforce solutions for New Jersey citizens,” Edna Cadmus, PhD, RN, NEA-BC, FAAN, executive director of NJCCN, said in a news release.
Nine members were appointed by New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie. Among those appointees were Carol Patterson, MSN, BSN, RN, CNE (New Jersey League for Nursing representative), Susanne Sorace, MSN, RN, CNE (Association of Diploma Schools of Professional Nursing representative), Michele A. McLaughlin, MSN, RN, CPAN (healthcare facility staff nurse), Neddie Serra, MSN, EdD (New Jersey Association of Baccalaureate and Higher Degree Programs in Nursing representative), Donna J. Stankiewicz, MSN, RN (New Jersey Council of Associate Degree Nursing Programs representative), Evadne Adina Harrison-Madu, PhD, MSN, RN (Practical Nurse Educators Council of New Jersey representative), Susan H. Weaver, MSN, RN (New Jersey State Nurses Association representative) and Victoria Hasser, MSW, LCSW, and Barbara George Johnson, Esq. (consumers of healthcare).
Appointed by the New Jersey Senate was Ann M. Painter, MSN, RN (Home Care Association of New Jersey representative).
